Stamp Duty liability calculations are based on purchasing a freehold residential property in the UK. Stamp Duty calculations are rounded to the nearest pound. Stamp Duty calculations reflect higher Stamp Duty rates for anyone purchasing additional property in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Commencing April 2016 a 3% surcharge has been applied on top of the normal Stamp Duty rate. This means buy to let purchases now attract higher levels of Stamp Duty unless individual ownership is limited to a single property.
